Ego’s Culinaria (Howe Street, Daylesford) makes an incredible CHAI BISCOTTI using our Happy Hippie Blend. Here’s a copy of their recipe to try at home if you can’t make it to Daylesford. (Thanks Christian!)
Chai biscotti ingredients
100g butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 Tbs Happy Hippie Chai tea
1 Tsp baking powder
1/2 cup whole almonds
Technique
Pre heat oven 170
cream butter and until smooth.
Add sugar, beat until fluffy
Add eggs beat until smooth.
Fold though dry ingredients
Divide dough in half. Roll each half into a long roll, about 1 1/2″ wide and 10″ long.
Place onto baking paper lined tray and bake for 25 mins, until lightly browned.
Cool 5 mins, then slice diagonally into 1/2″ slices. Speed slices on tray s and return to oven for 10 mins turning half way.
Cool on rack.
